This block of instruction is a continuation from the course, Time Distance Cover - Part 3, designed to familiarize the students with the concept of time, distance and cover. Topics to be covered will include utilizing cover and distance to create time, the Safety Priorities, ARC, the Elements of Force, and considerations when communicating with suspects.

THIS COURSE IS MANDATORY FOR ALL SWORN PERSONNEL, PROFESSIONAL STAFF AND CIVILIAN INVESTIGATORS
Module 1: This course was created for first responders to learn what Adverse Childhood Experiences are and how they affect the communities we work with.
Module 2: This course was created for first responders to learn how to apply the knowledge of trauma to your work in law enforcement. It will teach the way trauma impacts body and brain functioning and how to recognize behaviors in the field that may be linked to past trauma.
Module 3: This course was created for first responders to understand the risks of trauma exposure, how it may affect their lives, and what to do to improve mental health. The information in this module might be difficult to hear and process. Please be sure to take care of yourself, take a break, or seek help if you begin to feel activated or overwhelmed by the information presented.
This Course is .75 hours of AZ POST continuous training credit.
