RMS is the database where the information collected by employees, then entered into the FBR and Easy Forms, is sent through interfaces to be stored and converted into Criminal Reports, Master Name Index Records, Arrest Records and so forth. It is also shared with Various Law Enforcement partners though different interfaces to provide information and also populate other agencies’ databases.

This is an instructional series of short videos and guides for RMS/FBR training. The objective of this series is to help FBR users cover the basics of how to use the RMS and FBR systems. 

This course is Mandatory for ALL NEW Police Department Employees.

The CLIPs application is the portal used to access MDV and Criminal Justice databases through the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Patrol officers and other Department employees utilizing the CAD program on their assigned MDC’s do not need to log into CLIPs for MVD and warrant information covered by ACIC or NCIC for a person or vehicle entered into the search function of the CAD program. 

Easy Forms is a data sharing tool and was created internally to address some operational needs that were not met by the current RMS when it was first implemented. The Easy Forms tool does not store any information and is used as an electronic avenue of communication between employees in the field and several work groups that enter the information contained into other law enforcement databases, like NCIC/ACIC.

Investigators – This course is intended as a continuation of the course New User – RMS Basics. Please complete that course before proceeding with this one.  

The training contained in this course provides information that covers how to use the various aspects of the RMS as part of an assignment to a investigations detail. It is not intended to be a complete training on all aspects of how to use the RMS to document all investigations. The content demonstrates functions that are commonly used by most investigators on basic cases. Investigators are advised to review their assigned bureau’s manual and should receive mentoring and hands on training conducted by their specific detail.

This Course is 1 hour of AZ POST continuous training credit.

This is an instructional 4 part series of short videos for FBR templates. The objective of this series is to help FBR users by saving them time and improving quality through the use of templates. This series covers the basics of how to create, save and load templates as well as importing bookings, commonly repeated IR's, and converting originals to supplements or supplements to originals.

This Course is .5 hours of AZ POST continuous training credit.

 

This mandatory course is for All sworn personnel that utilize the FBR and Police Assistants in an enforcement capacity. This course describes the basic workflow of how to successfully complete and the updated Arizona Traffic Ticket and Complaints (ATTC) FBR form. 

This Course is 1 hour of AZ POST continuous training credit.

This course provides information on the release or disposal of evidence and firearms within the Records Management System.
