Area III - Patrol Procedures

An examination of the consideration and factor related to understanding domestic violence procedures for responding effectively to domestic violence and managing crisis situations.  This will include applicable law, specific authority granted to law enforcement agencies, services for victims and the purpose and processes of court orders.

This course shall provide information to new officers in the area of bias or hate motivated crimes. The student will learn definitions of terms commonly associated with the investigation of these crimes.

An outline of the officer’s responsibilities at the scene of various types of fires, including proper extinguishing techniques and the hazards involved. Officer and civilian safety is emphasized.
